Instead of the usual use to capture a wide\u00a0panorama\u00a0of a scene, instead it is used to stitch together a number of photographs taken with a small depth of field, expanding what would normally be a close-up shot into something a little bigger.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I like the way that this technique can bring a specific object into sharp focus, while still allowing a good measure of the surrounding to remain visible.<\/p>\n<p>The image above is actually 8800 x 4000 pixels in size, with another vertical crop coming in at 5000 x 7000 pixels, and was\u00a0constructed\u00a0from 23 individual images.<a href=\"http:\/\/grahamkennedy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0065.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-570 alignleft\" title=\"Brenizer single image\" src=\"http:\/\/grahamkennedy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0065-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/grahamkennedy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0065-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/grahamkennedy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0065-1024x685.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/grahamkennedy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0065-320x214.jpg 320w, http:\/\/grahamkennedy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0065-145x97.jpg 145w, http:\/\/grahamkennedy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0065-495x331.jpg 495w, http:\/\/grahamkennedy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0065-670x448.jpg 670w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here is an example of one of the images used to create it, to show how much extra is being brought into the image.<\/p>\n<p>Captured using my trusty little Nikon D80, with a 35mm 1.8 lens.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Once I get a little better at the technique I will post a blog entry describing it in more detail.
